Our Executive Director, Petros Karatzas had the pleasure of presenting at the first ever ZAK event in Cyprus on 11/06/2026 and talk about the transparency of architectural glass and the ways that the natural and artificial light affect our psychology and biology.
As Petros mentioned on stage, we mention it here, what our friend Ahad has accomplished is really remarkable. In his welcome speech he stated that Cyprus is the 51st country that ZAK event is organized. ZAK series have definitely contributed in putting facades as a part of the discussion globally and we are all honoured to be a part of this journey.
We spent as Skyline Facades team, 3 amazing days in the island, and we were genuinely impressed by the amount of construction activity taking place.
One of the best parts of the trip was -without question- to finally meet in person with many of the people we talk remotely, such as Antonis, Denada, Ioanna, and Alexia, among others. As useful and practical Zoom and Teams meeting are, nothing beats a face-to-face conversation and being on the same table over a cup of coffee.
Tasos Poulokefalos did a great job as a host, and as fellow SFE Greek members (along also with Jaime) it was wonderful to meet and invite the facade engineer colleagues from Cyprus, like
Geroge Sergiou and Odysseas Georgiou.
